What are the best acne cleansers for black skin?
Im 17 and I have mild acne that always leaves scarring, I used to used the Neutrogena oil free acne wash but i feel like its too harsh for my skin. Any suggestions?Ok I'm not really looking for an acne treatment like proactiv just a simple drugstore cleanser that is good for african american skin and thats also tones to get rid of my dark post acne scars.
Can acne cleansers actually make acne worse before it gets better?
I have been told several times that a cleanser and or makeup can make acne worse before it helps improve it. Does anyone know if there is any proof to this claim or is it just to get you to try it and not bring it back right away?
Do you know of any good acne cleansers that worked for you?
Preferably drugstore I know they might not have the same effects, but it's all I can do. I'm only 14 so the hormones kicking in is probably why, but my cheeks never seem to be clear. I've been using soap on my face, and I do realize that's bad, and oherwise, I've been using St. Ives Apricot Scrub every other day. I hear you should cleanse, tone, and moisturize, so what are some good products?
What acne cleanser would work best for my dry skin?
I have used a lot of products and every product has either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Which dries it out horribly even though it's suppose to. It is really dry and flaky. But on my nose area it where on top of the skin, it is dry broken skin but inside, in the pores, it is very very oily and sebum y. I have a lot of redness and random breakouts. I haven't wore any kind of concealer or foundation in three months. I have a clean diet with plenty of water fruits and veggies. I think this has something to do with the hormone imbalance thing. My mom is in her forties and she still has bad pimples.I get the pimples in places like my eyebrows, between the cheeks and nose, small ones on my forehead and sometimes on my chin. My skin sheds or peels practically every day.My skin is very dry right now and most moisturizers break me out. What would you suggest me try?

does anyone have any suggestions on good, cheap acne cleansers and moisturizers? I'm giving in and buying something and I was wondering if I could get some help on what's good. I have oily skin, pretty good pore problem, and blackheads and acne. any suggestions?
Does anyone know of a good acne cleanser for sensitive skin?
I have really sensitive skin, and acne which sucks lol because its hard to find an acne cleanser that doesn't dry out your skin. The only acne cleanser that didn't dry out my skin was Olay. It literally did not dry out my skin at all. But it didn't help my acne that much. I'm currently using Biore but this is kind of drying and it makes my cheeks a little red. I think its because it has menthol in it. But anyway, if anyone knows of a good acne cleanser, specifically gel cleanser, then please let me know. I really need a cleanser, because i've tried everything. And please don't suggest Neutrogena because that is the worst brand that I have ever tried. It peeled my skin so horribly. Anyways thanks
Has anyone tried or used the Clean & Clear Advantage 3 in 1 foaming acne cleanser?
I'm not talking about the 3 step kit in case ya'll are wondering, but I'm talking about the regular gel cleanser. Its in a purple bottle..here's a pic of it shopcleanandclear.com product detail.asp?T1 CNC 102580& . But if you used this then how did it work for you? And did it help your skin feel dry or soft? Right now i'm using the Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser and its pretty drying. So i'm just looking for something else for my sensitive skin, and I was maybe thinking that this might help. Also I have oily skin so I think it would be okay to use if its a little drying, I just hope its not as drying as Biore. I use a moisturizer anyway. Do you think I should use this? Please let me know ya'lls opinions on this cleanser thanks
Which acne cleanser line is more effective: Neutrogeena or Biore?
I don't have sensitive skin rather the opposite , don't have major breakout issues to buy complete acne systems, mostly clear except for around my T zone. Never tried Biore before, but have to finish it all before buying another product, so nothing abrasive. I'm pretty lazy, so only cleanser please. THANKS
Why is my skin so dry and flaky after using my acne cleanser?
Ok so about a week or two ago i started using a really good acne cleanser, and i got results really quick but about 2 days ago right around my chin and under my bottom lip started to like chap up really bad and its REALLY dry ive tried everything Aloe lotion, aloe, my acne cleanser moisurizer, my moms facial mask moisturizer and nothings worked and everytime i try to put something on it burns REALLY bad. What do i do to make my skin soft again??? PLZ HELP

So I have mild acne.. I have about 5 pimples at the moment one cystic and the rest are whiteheads Most of them are in between my eyebrows and two are on my chin..My t zone gets VERY oily.. My nose is really bad, i don't have pimples there but the oil is just unbearable..My cheekbone area gets pretty oily too..Anyone have an awesome cleanser and toner that can give me that flawless glow and help clean up the few pimples i have.I want to even my skin tone too. What acne cleanser should i get ?
i need one that is available at the stores i have around here that sell acne products which are wal mart and i think shoppers drug mart does too. i think wal mart alone sells the cleansers i have mentioned here and they are all fairly cheap i think so i was wondering which ones work and which one dont and if they are a waste of money and if i should buy them. the cleansers are the neutrogena wave ... the one in the commercial with Vanessa Hugens in itanything from oxy ... it works for my friend ...clearasilso those are the different cleansers i am thinking about getting. and i have pretty normal skin but it is sensitive but i just want to get rid of my pimples. i have maybe one or two bigger ones but the rest are just medium and very small ones. the small ones are mostly skin coloured but some are slightly red. soooo which one would work for this ? and which ones are worth the money ? which ones are good ? bad? do you recommend them ? how fast do they work ? Is it a good idea to use 2 acne cleansers?
ok so i have a little bit of acne right now and i was just wondering if its ok to use a cream acne cleanser when i wake up, then an apricot scrub blemish and blackhead clearing in the shower, and then the cream acne cleanser again before i go to bed. i also use a prescription face medicine that i put on evenly on my face at night. i have sensitive skin so i dont know if its ok to use all those chemicals. i have been doing that routine for about a week by the way.thanks
Has anyone tried the St. Ives green tea acne cleanser the gel version?
Did this help your breakouts? I mean i've tried alot of cleansers and nothings really worked to clear my skin up, but some did reduce my breakouts a little. So i'm not expecting this to work, but if anyone has tried this how did it make your skin feel? I'm looking for a cleanser that won't dry my skin up so much because I have very sensitive skin. It's okay if its a little drying though because I use an spf moisturizer anyway. Let me know your opinions on this cleanser if you use it or if you have used it before. Thanks
Clean and Clear acne cleanser continuous control help!?
Ok I started using this a couple of days ago because I have mild acne on my cheeks.Sort of like blotches?Idk. But the first day or 2 it seemed to be working.But after that,it seems its gotten worse than I had it before.I went to the pool with my friend the other day and we took pics underwater.And you can really see the blotches on my face in those pictures.I also notice like a tiny zit or pimple on my cheek D Is this normal??Should I keep on using this product or should I stop using it?? Help
